2025 - 2026 STEM Education Program for Ohio Students
NOPEC has partnered again with Ohio Energy Project (OEP) to help energize in-person and virtual classrooms this school year with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Design Challenges meant to spark curiosity about energy and promote creative problem solving and critical thinking. These challenges, which required students to experiment with various materials, not only taught students about wind energy but also helped students think about where energy comes from and how to use energy more efficiently.
3,657 students from over 60 Ohio classrooms are participating in the program this school year which, thanks to NOPEC’s sponsorship, was offered at no-cost to participating schools in NOPEC member communities.
